Hans Woyda Competition

Sixty-four teams from some of the best schools across London compete annually in the Hans Woyda Mathematics Competition. The first matches are played within groups and sixteen successful teams qualify for a knockout section.

Teams are made up of four members, one each from the Upper Sixth, the Lower Sixth, Year 11 and Year 9.  As well as those named above, Akash Sivananathan (Year 9) also took part.

In the 2010-11 group stage, the results were:

Round 1    Blackheath High 21    Eltham 29

Round 2    Eltham 22    Haberdashers Askes Hatcham College 24

Round 3    Eltham 33    Bromley High 21

As group runners-up Eltham College qualified for the Plate competition, in which we were beaten 50-23 by Colfe's.
