Welcome from the Head of Sixth Form, Jamie Walker

Eltham College continually exceeds the academic expectations of any high quality independent school, as indicated by our impressive A level and AS level results. Average class sizes of around ten and excellent student-teacher relationships consistently lead to performance well above the national average for maintained selective schools.  However, whilst each individual student is of course encouraged to fulfil his or her potential in the classroom, teachers and students alike recognise the importance of developing a range of skills in preparation for Higher Education and beyond. The Higher Education advice programme regularly leads to around 90% of students achieving their first choice of university. The atmosphere, facilities and opportunities offered to members of our Sixth Form make the two years here an enjoyable and productive time, during which they grow as individuals within the security of a close and supportive community.
