1912 was a momentous year, both for Eltham College and the world outside: it was the year of the Titanic disaster and of Captain Scott's ill-fated expedition to the South Pole, and it also saw the birth of the code-breaker Alan Turing and the composition of Rupert Brooke's famous poem about the Old Vicarage at Grantchester. The year is celebrated in poems, readings, music and extracts from plays over two evenings in Central Hall by a cast that includes both lower school boys and Sixth Formers.
