Centenary Concert, Queen Elizabeth Hall, 7.30pm

A highlight of this year’s celebrations to mark the school’s centenary will be the performance presented by Eltham College in Queen Elizabeth Hall, one of London’s top concert venues in the Southbank Centre at 7.30 pm on Tuesday 24 April 2012.
The Centenary Concert will feature performances by the College Choir, Chamber Choir, Consort Choir, Symphony Orchestra, Concert Band, First String Orchestra, Eltham Brass, Jazz Orchestra and Choral Society.
Amongst the works to be performed are movements from Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5, Parry’s Blest Pair of Sirens, Borodin’s Polovtsian Dances from Prince Igor, Rutter’s Gloria, Copland’s Fanfare for the Common Man and big band arrangements by Cole Porter and Stevie Wonder.
Tickets for this concert are now available via the Southbank Centre’s website. Seat prices range from £9 - £20 with concessions available. Please visit the Southbank Centre's website for an online booking facility.
Please note that you cannot obtain tickets for this concert via the school.
We very much hope that as many members of the Eltham College community will be able to join us for what promises to be a spectacular evening of music-making, and a fitting celebration of the school’s centenary.
