College Society: Andrew Copson, 4.15pm, Thursday 9th February

College Society is delighted to welcome Andrew Copson, the Chief Executive of the British Humanist Association, to speak to pupils this Thursday.  The British Humanist Association describes itself as a charity representing non-religious people seeking to live ethical and fulfilling lives, achieving this through, for example, providing non-religious events including Humanist weddings, funerals and naming ceremonies.  The Association, which is supported by figures such as Stephen Fry, Richard Dawkins, Brian Cox, Terry Pratchett and Philip Pullman, sees education about Humanism as a vital part of its mission - Mr Copson's talk promises to be both informative and enlightening.
