Royal Academy life drawing day

The Lower Sixth Art group were lucky enough to spend the whole day on 31st January drawing in response to the figure. The day was led by an artist, Paul Brandford, working with a model to encourage the pupils to further their drawing skills. They worked on the floor making dynamic work using charcoal, chalk and pastel. By working throughout the day to explore ideas and approaches, the pupils reached a new intensity in their work. This is their last life drawing session of the year after a series of classes in the Monday after-school workshops.
