Netball

Netball is a games option for Sixth Form girls. The College has enough girls to field two teams every year, who take part in fixtures mainly on Wednesday afternoons. Recently the first team has been participating in the Bromley Schools' League, playing against schools such as Bromley High, Colfe's, St Olave's and St Dunstan's. There is also training for all girls interested in improving their netball skills, every Tuesday from 4-5 pm in the Sports Hall. Matches are normally played on Wednesday afternoons, or on other days according to the opposition's availability.
The focus in netball is on fitness and improving skills and, most importantly, enjoyment. All girls who attend training have the opportunity to play in matches, and in recent years the teams have become increasingly successful.
There have been two netball tours in recent years. During the first, to Salou in Spain over Easter in 2007, the squad won the overall schools' trophy. The second, during the 2008 Easter holidays, was a joint tour with the hockey boys to Cape Town, South Africa.
