Netball team beat Farringtons School

On Wednesday 30th September, the first and second Eltham College netball teams set off to play against Farringtons. After sorting out some minor problems with the number of teams, we started to play. In the first quarter the Eltham team played the Farringtons under 16 team and got off to a good start. Although they were a younger team they had some maturity in their technique and provided some good competition to the Eltham team. The second and fourth quarters were played by the Farringtons under 18 team. Consisting of tall defence and a fast centre, at times the Farringtons team was quite a challenge. However the Eltham team's shooters were successfully taking advantage of every opportunity to score and our attacking players were fast and skilful, getting the ball to the goal third. Our defence were grabbing rebounds and all in all the Eltham team was stronger and worked together better than the Farrington's team. In the end the Eltham team was victorious by a score of 12 goals to 5.
