Charities

Eltham College has around 830 pupils and 100 members of staff, with many more Old Elthamians, friends and family. It would be completely inappropriate for any institution of that magnitude to ignore what is happening in the world and not to try to help people less fortunate than themselves.
It is not just a question of raising funds, raising awareness and education are equally important. For this reason many of the charities provide speakers who address pupils in PSHE lessons, or in assembly, to give an informative talk on the problems faced and how their money will be spent. We have also tried to help in ways other than asking for cash. The rugby kit for Romania is an example of such a scheme. Other events are linked below.
