An Alpine Adventure
On Sunday 11th February, nine pupils accompanied by M. Marlot and Mr Weatherly arrived in the small village of Argentière just above Chamonix for their Duke of Edinburgh's Award expedition practice on skis.

The week involved getting familiarised with ski moutaineering equipment and improving off piste technique. After touring around Le Tour, Les Grands Montets, Les Houches, St Gervais and Megève, the highlight of the week was the ascent of Croisse Bollet with stunning views of Mont Blanc in the background. Participants will return to the Alps in April to complete their assessment skiing the Haute route from Verbier to Zermatt.
