British Champion
Lower Sixth student Jack Oliver convincingly won the 69kg Class at the Under 18 British Weightlifting Championships, held last month in Kilmarnock, Scotland. Jack has been competing at international level for some time now and on this occasion produced his best ever performance (105kg in the Snatch and 125kg in The Clean and Jerk). As a consequence he was presented with the ‘Best Lifter of the Competition Award’.
Pictured left, Jack is currently in training for the Commonwealth Junior Games to be held next year in India. We look forward to his continued success.
