Sixteen Sixth Form German students spent three days in Berlin in November. For many, this was their second visit to the German capital this year.

The group spent time researching A Level oral topics, visiting the remaining stretches of Wall at the East Side Gallery and Bernauerstraße, the brand new Potsdamer Platz and the home of the playwright Bertolt Brecht. There were also trips to the legendary Gemüse Restaurant in West Berlin, and to the flagship Starbuck’s in the renovated courtyards of East Berlin’s Hackescher Markt. After a hectic programme of sightseeing, the group stole the show at the Knaack karaoke.
