Old Elthamian Association South East Reunion
Due to the illness of Peter Walker, Ian Beith and David Norris successfully organized the South-East OE Reunion at the Wilderness Golf Cub. Over 90 OEs and their partners joined Andrew Edwards, President of the OEA, and the Paul Henderson, Headmaster, for a most convivial lunch. Robin Foster, who has just stepped down as Secretary at the Golf Club, master-minded another excellent meal in very pleasant surroundings. The Headmaster updated OEs on recent achievements at the school, while the President urged OEs to continue to support the school and in particular to log-on to Elthamians.net. Another treat for those who attended was the presence of Mrs Margaret Buchanan, widow of John Buchanan: Mrs Buchanan is in her 100th year but this did not prevent her delivering an animated speech in which she urged us all to make the most of our lives while we were still fit and able. She was an example to us all.
