Old Elthamians given artistic licence

A recent Art Exhibition held in Central Hall by a number of Old Elthamians is another indication of the close links that exist between the college and its former pupils. Roger Scopes (1946 – 54) whose brainchild it was is pictured above with his water colour of ‘The Drive at Eltham College’. He was joined on the evening by Andrew Hammond (1997 – 2004) who included amongst his work in oil, portraits of his mentors Peter Richards and Julian Yarnold. Jemma Appleby (2003 – 05), an even more recent leaver exhibited a number of photographs while Old Elthamian Roy T. Day (1940 – 48) demonstrated two paintings in water colour and gouache.
