Old Elthamians Rugby Club’s main sponsor Secure Trading has become the Principal Partner to England Sevens in a four-year agreement with the Rugby Football Union (RFU). This exciting new partnership will see England Sevens use College Meadow as their new London training ground and support the investment and infrastructure planned for the College’s sport facilities.
At present students across all sports at the College receive coaching and nutritional advice, and benefit from the expertise of semi-professional players based at Old Elthamians With the announcement of this new sponsorship deal there will be new opportunities for our students to receive coaching from England Sevens players, as the partnership will cover the grassroots to the elite end of the game.
Secure Trading’s support for rugby sevens in England will extend to the RFU’s grassroots initiative ‘24/Sevens’ which launched in 2016. They will become the title sponsor of the community sevens series which aims to continue to grow sevens rugby and increase participation.
Old Elthamians Director of Rugby Gavin Lach said: “We are massively proud that our main sponsor has secured this partnership with England rugby after what was the biggest weekend in Old Elthamians’ history as we secured promotion to National One”.
