Every year, over 4,000 children in Uganda die from diarrhoea but 88% of these cases can be prevented with safe drinking water, and improved hygiene and sanitation. The Buikwe Water Project, in conjunction with International Needs, aims to improve these statistics through providing education about safe hygiene practice, installing fresh water wells and building toilets.

On 19 June ten Lower Sixth students will be doing the Three Peak Challenge, to fund raise for the Buikwe Water Project in Uganda. It would be great if you could help them reach their £2000 target by sponsoring the team.

A further 16 students, including some who are doing the Three Peaks Challenge, will be going to Buikwe in July for ten days to help plan/build the locations of the wells and latrines and to find out more about the community our funds will be helping.
