We are thrilled to yet again be celebrating an impressive set of A level results and university offers from some of the country’s most prestigious universities. Collectively, the students improved on last year, with 89% achieving A*-B results with more A*-A grades than all other grades put together. This was especially crucial for those chasing places at elite universities. Over a third of the year group secured three straight A*-A grades, with many obtaining four A* grades. Once again, boys and girls performed equally well.

Manoj Abhishetty and Michael Nestor were among the students achieving a fantastic four A* grades in Physics and Chemistry, as well as Mathematics and Further Mathematics. Both will now go on to study Engineering at Oxford. Manoj Abhishetty was delighted with his results and said: “I am over the moon with my results. Thank you to all my teachers who invested so much time in me, without their support this would not have been possible.”

Students excelled in Science subjects with 85% gaining an A*-B grade and medical students, such as Lydia Goundry were also celebrating gaining competitive places. There was continued strength for Drama, Music, Religious Studies, French, Italian, Mandarin and German with 100% of candidates achieving A* to B grades. Thomas Hood produced excellent results (A*Music, A History, A Religious Studies) and now will go on to pursue his passion for Music at Trinity College, Cambridge, continuing Eltham College’s impressive track record of Oxbridge Music success.

Guy Sanderson, Headmaster, commented:“Congratulations to all of this year’s students for achieving outstanding results through their hard-work and dedication. I wish them every success as they leave Eltham College and hope they continue to pursue their futures with the confidence and the determination they have shown over the last year.”
