MUSIC ALIVE was launched this week. It is aimed at Year 3 and 4 students who will be given the opportunity to learn to play a string, woodwind or brass instrument or begin singing lessons for free, during the first half term.

MUSIC ALIVE also encourages and inspires the wider to get involved with the huge variety of music making opportunities that exist at Eltham College.
Junior School students were treated to a variety of performances and workshops to see what they would like to learn. On Tuesday, Year 3 and 4 students gathered in the Chapel to enjoy an Introduction to Singing with Mr Bullard. Students learned about Classical, Jazz and Folk music as well as taking part in some singing exercises.

Later on that day, the students gathered in the Antony Barnard Theatre to watch a number of orchestral performances. The orchestra brought a children’s book classic, Peter and the Wolf to life with each instrument representing a character.

We look forward to hearing from our budding musicians in the future!
