On Thursday 21 September, Year 3 travelled back in time to the Egyptian period courtesy of History Off the Page.
Dressed up in Egyptian costumes, the boys had a go at mummifying pegs, baking bread, making perfume cones and amulets as well as carving scarab beetles and making offerings to the gods. After lunch, they performed various dances and plays in front of the king and queen and took part in a traditional Ancient Egyptian banquet.
The students had a brilliant time learning fascinating facts about the Egyptian period and were full of discussions about their experiences after the event. A big thank you must go to all of the parent helpers who made this day possible.
