The 1st XV put in their best performance of the season on Wednesday but unfortunately it still wasn’t enough to overcome The Judd School. The side lost 21 – 15 after previously losing 27 – 0 in the first game of the season. It was an outstanding defensive display against a very strong and physically large side. Tries from Thompson and Zac Filmer and a conversion and penalty from Jacob Buckley brought the boys agonisingly close but they just couldn’t get across the line.
The Under 16A were unfortunate to suffer a narrow 19-14 defeat against Colfe’s School on Saturday. In wet conditions, Colfe’s scrum and lineout proved to be too strong and forced a number of handling errors. Strong performances from try scorers Ashley Sewell and Frankie Nella whilst much of the tough unseen work fell to Zaki Boudjemaa. Well done to Conrad Scrivener for stepping up as Captain in place of injured James Biss.

The second half was more challenging, but our defence held firm. The final score was 17 – 0 to Eltham College.

The 50-5 scoreline was spot on as the boys ran in some superb tries linking backs and forwards together to great effect. Lawrence Coleman was the star of the show with three superb tries to his name.
The Under 14B team had a thriller against Colfe’s, level at 5 all for most of the match. A strong run from David Low broke the deadlock followed by a quick succession of tries from Aarin Patel and Benjy Davis. The final score was 24-5.
