On Friday 24 November, 6WS took part in a DT transition workshop at the Senior School.

First, we used the computers to access some special Art software where we could make designs – I made a smiley face, an ice-cream and a mountainside. Afterwards, we were shown how to make a contraption where if you turn the handle a part at the top would go up and down. We found out that these were called moving cams. It was made of many types of wood such as a blocks, dowling and juletong, etc. We used lots of different tools like an electric drill and saws. The staff were very helpful and I had a lot of fun; I hope we have many other workshops like this.
