On Friday 12 January, King George’s Hall was packed to capacity as 140 people in 17 teams competed to win the Annual Pop Quiz. It was hosted for the 12th year by the Canterbury Oasthouse Trust, a fantastic charity working with young people with learning disabilities to provide work and independent living for them.

The evening proved a huge success with teams trying to remember the singers of ’80’s classics and the next line to almost forgotten songs, along with many more head scratching rounds! There was an additional competition of, “Guess the winning score” and the prize of two Lady Gaga tickets in a box at the O2 was won by Kim Griffiths. The overall prize of a hamper of wine was won by Team Norfolk n’chance.

We are delighted to announce that the night raised £1,000 for the Canterbury Oasthouse Trust and also over £1,300 towards this year’s goal for buying electronic notice boards for both the Junior and Senior School. As well as further items to improve communication around the schools for both students and staff.

Many thanks to everyone who attended and we look forward to seeing you all at our next major fundraising event, The Summer Fair in June!
