Week commencing 5 February

This was an extremely busy week for our Hockey teams, they have had a mixture of success, but not quite finished the job off.

The 1st XI team made a good recovery at the Frank Mason Hockey Tournament having just missed out on a Cup place, they went on to win the Plate with an exciting penalty shoot-out.

The same 1st XI team took on Ashford School in the semi-final of the Kent Cup and despite leading at half-time the boys were disappointed to lose the game 2-1 with the final hit of the match.

The Under 16 team lost 3-1 to The King’s School, Canterbury at the quarter-final stage.

The Under 14 team also went out at the semi-final stage. Having been ruthless in front of goal all season the boys found themselves wanting when chances arose and several opportunities went begging in a 1-0 defeat.

The Under 13 team were magnificent in the Kent finals as they won four, drew one and lost one in the group stage. The boys worked tirelessly as a team and finished second in the group that gave them a tough semi-final against Langley Park School. A 1-0 defeat was the narrowest of margins but the boys were flat out on their feet at the end of the game after a long day of hockey.
