Under 14A team vs St Lawrence (LOST 4-2)

The Under 14A team made vast improvements from the first half of the term with a very good display against St Lawrence College. Having gone 2-0 down at half time the boys got back to 2-1 and then in turn 3-2 but were unable to find an equaliser with St Lawrence scoring late on to make it 4-2.

Under 14B team vs St Lawrence (WON 3-1)

In the first half Eltham was the more energetic of the teams. The home team scored the equaliser which they deserved. Then a turning point – Joe Mielniczek’s shot hit a foot on the line, which resulted in a penalty stroke which Alex McInerny flicked into the top corner. The second half followed a similar pattern with pressure and short corners at both ends. Eltham had the bulk of the chances and eventually, it was Cameron Macheath who got the final goal following good work from Zain Syed down the right.

U13A vs Whitgift (LOST 10-0)

The Under 13’s cup run was brought to an abrupt end when they came up against an extremely strong Whitgift School side. Eltham started the game well but was caught off guard by two quick counter attacks which saw them go 2-0 down. The Whitgift side pressed harder and harder and was full of confidence as they scored another five goals before half time. Jack Ennis was outstanding, making some amazing saves, sometimes double and even triple saves.
