On Friday 23 February, Eltham College Junior School hosted a series of football matches against Alleyn’s School. Despite some very cold conditions, all the boys involved got stuck in and played some really good football.
In the A team fixture, both teams got off to a very frenetic start and it took a while for it to calm down but Eltham College began to completely dominate the game. With some excellent play by Harry Clout and Kash Odiase, Eltham soon began scoring on a regular basis, by half time they were already 3-0 up. Harry O’Hara and Dylan Tootill then came on and played their part to help the team score another two goals in the second half, with the final result being 5-0.
The C team played very much in the same vein as the A team and were quickly 4-0 up by half-time, against their B team counterparts. Despite a few positional changes, the boys were still able to score another two goals with the match ending 6-0 to Eltham College.
The E Team played very well too against their opponents and took control of that match with lots of enthusiasm and energy, so that at the final whistle the boys had also scored six goals, to win 6-0.
A complete clean sweep.
