Eltham College is marking Mental Health Awareness Week by putting on a range of activities for students to get involved with to encourage them to talk about mental health and well-being.

Curry and Chaat

The aim of Curry & Chaat is simple: students get together at lunch time, enjoy a delicious curry and talk about mental health and break the stigma that often clouds the topic.

Walk and Talk

Form groups will gather on the playing fields to ‘Walk and Talk’, this is a fantastic opportunity for the students to get some gentle exercise and have a conversation with each other.

Central Hall Activities and Parent Talk

On Thursday 17 May, there will be a stall in Central Hall and students will have the opportunity to take part in a range of fun and informative activities.

The School Councillors and Jeremy Todd, CEO of Family Lives will be speaking to parents in King George’s Hall. Family Lives is a charity with experienced family support workers that offer all family members immediate and on-going help on the phone, online or in the local community.
