On Thursday 17 May, Year 6 and 7 were treated to a break from normal lessons to have a taste of French theatre and put their French skills to the test. A Charles Perrault’s adaptation of the tale Le Petit Chaperon Rouge (Little Red Riding Hood) was performed by a troupe of actors from Orléans. After the performance, boys had the chance to ask questions about both the play and the process of staging a production. The discussion even extended to other aspects of French theatre such as 17th century playwright Molière. Congratulations to the boys for their enthusiasm and for keeping up with a play performed entirely in French!
Our Lower Sixth students will also be discovering Molière when they see Tartuffe at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, next month.
