On Sunday 10 June, Arjun Jadhav participated in the Delancey UK Schools’ Chess Challenge Megafinal. He won most of his matches and has qualified for the Gigafinal which takes place in July where he will be competing with the top two per cent of chess players in his category in the country.
In addition, he gained the top score in the regional Megafinal and was awarded ‘Chess Supremo’ in the Under 11 category.
Year 5 students, Abhigyan Bagchi and Ankit Gaekwad, and Roshan Rao from Year 4 also have qualified for the Gigafinal in their respective age categories.
