On Thursday 14 June we hosted our inaugural ‘Applying for Medicine’ conference, in partnership with the University of Leicester Medical School.
Professor Holland, Dean of the Leicester University Medical School, delivered the introduction to over 70 aspiring medics from local schools, including 15 from Eltham College. The event was supported by a number of OEs, who returned to Eltham College to talk about their experiences of studying medicine as well as the early stages of their careers as junior doctors. Students also got the opportunity to participate in an MMI (multiple mini interview) carousel, allowing them to practise the skills which will be required for an interview at medical schools. We would like to thank Leicester University Medical School and the OEs for sharing their knowledge and expertise and providing our students with an invaluable opportunity to learn more about the medical school application process.
