Upper Sixth Form student, James has been offered scholarships at three of the country’s most prestigious music colleges. After a rigorous audition process, he has gained offers at the – Royal Academy of Music, Guildhall School of Music & Drama and the Royal Northern College of Music.
James plays the cello and is in the Symphony Orchestra, Sinfonia and Piano Trio here at the college as well as being a major soloist. James also attends the Junior department of Guildhall School of Music and Drama on Saturdays.
Director of Music, Mr Showell said: “James is an absolute joy to teach and an extremely talented cellist. This achievement is absolutely remarkable and very rare.”
