The Symphonic Wind Band performed for the Junior School and blew everyone away with an awe-inspiring rendition of the theme tune from The Pirates of Caribbean film franchise.
The band is made up of students from Years 6 to Year 10 who meet regularly to prepare for formal and informal concerts. Not only is it wonderful for the younger pupils to hear live, symphonic music – it is also a way to inspire them to take up a wind or brass instrument – of kit drumming! – in Year 4 as part of the Music Alive project.
