The U19 A and B Netball teams played against St Olave’s Grammar School on Wednesday 9 October. The hard work and commitment these young ladies have put in to training over the last few weeks is starting to pay off. The squad is really coming together, with movement around court improving immensely and the shooters on point. The A’s narrowly lost 14-20 but dominated the second half of the game, winning the final two quarters which shows that you should never give up. The girls did incredibly well as the opposition became more difficult as the game progressed.
The B’s put on an outstanding performance, winning 20-2. Following a slow start, the B’s soon got into the swing of things playing superb Netball, with Lily putting on a fantastic performance in the shooting circle.
Players of the match were awarded to our GA’s, Orla and Lily. We are excited to see how the girls perform this week at our first home fixture against Colfe’s, where we have also been able to secure a C team fixture for the first time in a number of years.
