Last week Year 6 were treated to a drama workshop by star of the stage and screen, Jamie Ballard. Jamie is currently starring as the boy wizard in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, the critically acclaimed production is the most awarded West End play in the history of the Olivier Awards, winning a record-breaking nine awards including Best New Play and Best Director in 2017.
Jamie provided an insight into the working life of a professional stage and screen actor, casting a spell over the students with his tales of wizard technology and special effects. The students had a chance to show Jamie their thespian skills as they took on the challenge of dramatising a section of the play.
