On Wednesday 27 November, the U18 A, B and C netball teams played in a fixture against Langley Park School for Boys. It was a fantastic afternoon of netball with, once again, over 50 girls participating. The squad faced some challenges with a number of illnesses and injury, however this did not dampen the teams’ fighting spirit.

The A team played a good game, demonstrating some excellent play down the court with some fantastic shots in the circle. Each week the A team has grown from strength to strength. This week, player of the match was awarded to Orla for her fantastic shooting.

Final score:19-42 loss

The B team had a well-matched game, in which they continuously chased and fought for the win. Team spirits and morale were high throughout, giving the opposition a tough game. Player of the match was awarded to Mfon.

Final score: 11-17 loss

The C team had an incredible match — the most successful performance to date across the squad, ending with a strong victory. Not only did they win, but they did so by a staggering 30 points. It is fair to say the team were hot on their feet and gave Langley a good run around. Players of the match were awarded to Liv and Sophie.

Final score: 31-1 win

We look forward to our fixture against Bullers Wood next week, which will be the end of our competitive matches before Christmas.
