On Thursday 5 November, the final league match of the Hans Woyda Maths Competition took place. The team, comprising Freddy Jiang (Upper Sixth), Liam Donnelly (Lower Sixth), Hashir Majeed (Year 11) and Matthew Daniell (Year 9), travelled to St Dunstan’s College for the match, which they won convincingly 29 – 42. There were strong performances in all rounds, but particular mention must go to the team round where Eltham College students found all possible McNugget expansions and achieved maximum points. The Eltham College team topped their league with three out of three wins, and are through to the knockout stage of the competition.
