On Saturday 25 January, Eltham College took part, for the fourth year in a row, in the London East Heats of the First Lego League competition, the largest STEM competition in the world. This year, two teams entered the competition, comprised of students from both the Junior and Senior Schools – The D(iverCity) Team, made up of five students from Years 9 to 11, and the Year 6 City Savers. Battling through multiple rounds of the competition, including the Robot Challenge and Project Presentation, the students put into practice what they had learned since September. Both teams did themselves proud and while Eltham weren’t able to win the top prize, the senior team took home the Judge’s Award, linked to the quality of their project.

Eltham College will compete again in 2021.
