On Wednesday 29 January, three Eltham College netball teams played against St Dunstan’s College.

U18A
Lost 6-11

The U18A team displayed lovely teamwork throughout the match, showing a great flow through the court, resulting in some excellent shots. The team worked hard to find the space in offence and even harder to shut down St Dunstan’s attack. The girls never let their heads drop, and all of them fought hard until the end. Player of the match went to Ujanah who worked tirelessly as centre.

U18B
Won 16-7

The U18B team went onto the court determined to play hard after an inspirational team talk from Annie. It worked – the girls played exceptionally well in both defence and offence. Their movement on the court enabled the team to get ahead very quickly in the first quarter, and some excellent shooting from Lily and goalkeeping from Estelle kept the scoreline high for Eltham. Player of the match went to Emily.

U18C
Won 10-9

It was another exciting game for the Cs, whose teamwork and good movement on the court resulted in some excellent netball. Particular highlights included Naomi shooting from the edge of the D, and Georgia being on fire in defence and intercepting every ball as it came into the D. The offence, in particular, worked tirelessly, with some lovely assists from Megan to give Ellen numerous shots on goal. Ellen received player of the match.
