On 6 February 2020 136 Eltham College students took part in the Intermediate Mathematics Challenge from Years 11(39), 10(48), 9(37) and 8(12). This year out of the 136 students, 24 achieved a Gold Certificate, 30 achieved a Silver Certificate and 32 achieved Bronze.
In addition, 26 students have progressed to the next round. Seven have progressed to the Olympiad paper and 19 to the pink or grey Kangaroo.
We have a number of students that performed exceptionally well:

- Daniel Kortuem (achieving 120/135)
Year 10
- Yuxuan Jiang (achieving 135/135)
Year 9
- William Zheng (achieving 122/135)
- Oles Chaban (achieving 118/135)
Year 8
- Fredrick Wu (achieving 112/135)
All of these students have progressed to the Olympiad stage.
