On Thursday 14 May, 14 school’s ‘came together’ to compete in the first ever mass virtual sports event, a 1,500 metre run organised by Eltham College. Schools from across the South East of England that competed included; Hampton School, Brighton College, Eltham College, St Dunstans College, Reigate Grammar School, St Georges Weybridge, KCS Wimbledon, Trinity School, Alleyns School, Colfes School, Caterham School, Sevenoaks School, Kingston Grammar School and Portsmouth Grammar School.
Altogether a combined 1,551 students from the 14 schools took part and completed the 1.5km run.
Students from Eltham College did us proud with 201 girls and boys taking part. Students achieved a top three finish (out of 14) in Years 7,8,9 and 10 and our Lower Sixth Form finished first overall.
Of the 1,551 students who took part we had two students who were in the top 10 finishers; Theo Tredwell (Year 9) who finished 2nd overall and Olly Buck (Year 7) who finished 5th.
