On Friday 19th April the Year 11 Colloquium held its first meeting of the term. Over twenty students gathered to listen to Mr Smith deliver the first of a series of two lectures and workshops about Shakespearean tragedy.
During the lecture students considered the classical elements of tragedy in Macbeth and the journey that the flawed protagonists endure. Students examined the speeches by Brutus and Macbeth and will discuss these during second lecture of this series.
The lesson forms part of the Scholars Programme which includes workshops and lectures overseen by our Head of Academic Scholarship, Mr Cavendish.
