The Final Frontier?
Having debated democracy in their last meeting, the Year 8 Scholars were considering the wonder and mystery of space. With a variety of practical exercises recreating the relative distances of planets in our solar system, some observations through the telescope and drawing their own constellations the pupils pondered many of the great historic and current questions about what is out there?
This twilight session, led by Head of Science Mr Simon Whittaker enthused the students and left them, as he hoped it would, with as many questions as answers.
The lesson forms part of the Scholars Programme which includes workshops and lectures overseen by our Head of Academic Scholarship, Mr Cavendish.
