This year is proving to be one of Eltham College’s most successful netball seasons ever. The netball talent is exceptional and has been nurtured and encouraged by Miss Penny Caudle, Head of Netball and Girls’ Sport.
After only a few weeks of the term, the A team competed in the U19 Kent Schools Tournament and won every game and finished on top of the group to qualify for the Kent Finals.
Their success continued at the finals on Saturday 27 November where they were crowned U19 Kent County Champions. The team triumphed winning six of their seven matches against Colfe’s, Bromley High, Langley Park, Sevenoaks, Newstead Woods, Dartford Grammar and Beneden. The girls will now continue to represent Kent in the Regional finals in January.
Penny Caudle said, “Huge congratulations to our U19 squad who represented the school brilliantly in the Kent Schools Championship Finals this weekend. The squad have been working hard and have played consistently. I am looking forward to taking them to Regional’s. Thank you to all parents and staff who came and supported the team.”
