Eltham College is this year celebrating the180th anniversary since its foundation.

The school is running a number of events and celebrations to mark this special birthday including celebratory concerts, lectures, events for the whole school community, and academic initiatives and special events in school for students and staff.

A special ‘Eltham 180’ logo has been created and is now being rolled-out across a range of collaterals, including the website and social media, and the school’s publication, ‘The Elthamian’ is being revamped and relaunched.  More information about this special anniversary and planned events will be communicated to the school community over the coming weeks and months.

Commenting on the anniversary, Edward Funnell, Head of Communications said: “From small beginnings in 1842, Eltham College has changed beyond recognition over the past 180 years and, today, with more than 1,000 students, the school is one of the most successful in Greater London and the south-east.

“We wanted to mark our special birthday this year in a number of ways and as part of our ‘Eltham 180’ programme, we have some exciting plans to ensure this year will be a special year for our school community.”
