Eltham College staff and students are joining forces to raise funds for International Needs UK’s WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) programme in Uganda. The team will travel to Uganda in July 2023 to witness the impact of their efforts first-hand.

To support their cause, the team is taking on a challenge that requires strength, teamwork, and endurance. On Wednesday 29th March, they will row  a total of 336 km (length of Lake Victoria) – on indoor rowing machines.

Their aim is to raise £10,000 to support IN’s WASH programme, which aims to provide access to clean water and sanitation facilities to communities in Uganda. The lack of access to clean water and sanitation is a significant issue in many parts of Uganda, and the programme aims to address this problem by building wells, latrines, and handwashing stations in schools and communities.

The Eltham College team is committed to making a real difference in the lives of people in Uganda, and they need your help to achieve their goal. You can support their cause by donating to their fundraising page on JustGiving here.

The team has been training hard for this challenge and is ready to give it their all on Wednesday. We will be posting updates on social media throughout the day, so be sure to follow Eltham College to see their progress and cheer them on!

Let’s come together to support the Eltham College team and International Needs UK in their mission to improve the lives of people in Uganda. Every donation makes a difference, and together we can make a positive impact on the world.
