For their last session of the term, members of the Year 10 Athenaeum heard two presentations from members of the Upper Sixth on the Psychology of Identifying Criminal Behaviour and the Impact of Partition in the Punjab, both historic and current.
The first talk by Emily M explored in fascinating detail the tell tale physical signs of lying and the workings of lie detector tests. Amrit K then explained the nature of the Partition of India in 1947, the many problems caused by and ensuing from it and why the area of the Punjab was particularly impacted.
Both these talks were not only informative but fluently delivered and fully engaged the audience. The Year 10 Athenaeum have enjoyed a range of talks by members of the Sixth Form this term, which reflects the commitment of the Scholarship Programme to encouraging student led sessions.
