The Teaching Insight Programme 2023 begins today, running from Monday to Thursday. Four participants, Denise, Kelly, Fatima, and Mingchang, will be visiting our school to explore their interest in teaching. This programme aims to attract individuals from historically underrepresented backgrounds who are considering a teaching career. It offers a four-day placement that aims to provide a taste of the diverse opportunities in teaching.
Participants will engage in activities such as observing classrooms, interacting with educators, and experiencing lesson planning sessions. This hands-on experience will help them understand the joys and challenges of teaching. The programme also fosters a supportive network, connecting participants with fellow aspiring teachers, professionals, and mentors who can guide them on their journey.
By promoting inclusivity and diversity, the Teaching Insight Programme empowers individuals from underrepresented backgrounds to explore teaching as a career option. Through this initiative, we strive to create a more equitable and inclusive education system that reflects our multicultural society.
