The Year 3 students attended a workshop at The Gerald Moore Gallery that centred around the current art installation, ‘The Garden of Hope.’

‘The Garden of Hope is an immersive art installation that revolves around the theme of transformation, celebrating the interconnectedness of hope, action, and change. Created by local artists Mary Banker and Eliana Peracchio, the installation showcases meticulously crafted animals and plants made from recycled materials. This installation marks the first collaboration with Blackheath Prep, as part of the Eltham College Family.

The students had the opportunity to learn about the materials used in the garden and the importance of recycling in art. They also got to create their own unique artworks, which have become a part of the installation.
