Eltham College is proud to announce a significant achievement within our sports department as Temba Bungane, our dedicated Water Polo Coordinator, has been appointed as the U18 GB Assistant Coach for the 2025 Water Polo European Championship.
Temba Bungane, who hails from South Africa, is the youngest and most successful South African coach to date. He joined Eltham College in September, bringing a wealth of coaching experience to our school.
Our Director of Sport, Marc Edwards, whose support and guidance have been pivotal in the development of the Sports department at Eltham College, shared his thoughts on this exciting appointment: “Temba will play a very important role with Sean Perfect, Head of Aquatics, in growing the participation and performance levels of our co-educational Water Polo teams. It is an exciting time for Aquatics, and I am confident that both Temba and Sean will work exceptionally well to raise the profile of both Water Polo and Swimming at Eltham College across the country.”
