We are delighted to announce that Eltham College’s team ‘AeroSwift Racing’ participated at the F1 in Schools competition on January 24th, 2024 where they secured a remarkable 3rd place overall our of 34 other teams in their class. Not only this, the team got nominated for the prestigious Research and Development award and qualified for the UK Nationals in March for the first time.
This achievement marks a significant milestone for our team, particularly as it is only our second year participating in the competition. The dedication and hard work of our students have propelled us to new heights, reflecting the outstanding commitment to excellence ingrained in our school’s ethos.
For those unfamiliar with F1 in Schools, it is a unique educational initiative designed to introduce students to STEM subjects through the creation and racing of miniature F1 cars. This hands-on experience not only fosters creativity and problem-solving skills but also ignites a passion for engineering and innovation among our students.
We are very proud of the ‘AeroSwift Racing’ team for their remarkable achievements and commend them for representing Eltham College so successfully.
