On Wednesday, 6th, our Year 5 and Year 6 pupils were treated to a fascinating talk by UN and Premier League interpreter, Rob Hunt.
During the engaging talk our pupils learned more about the incredible world of languages, highlighting the importance of linguistic studies and the boundless adventures awaiting our budding linguists.
Rob Hunt, an esteemed independent translator and interpreter, shared his wealth of experiences. Accredited by the United Nations and holding post-graduate qualifications in French, Spanish, and Portuguese, Rob’s journey is nothing short of inspiring. From translating for global giants like WWF and Christian Dior to interpreting for Premier League football clubs, Rob’s expertise spans diverse arenas. Since April 2018, he has been a pivotal figure at the United Nations, facilitating multilingual meetings for international human rights committees in Geneva.
A massive thank you to Rob for sharing his insights and igniting the passion for languages among our pupils. Merci, Gracias, Obrigado!
